New York State Assembly members Michael Durso (R-Massapequa Park) and John Mikulin (R-East Meadow), in coordination with New York Boating Safety, will be holding a NYS Safe Boating and PWC Safety Certification Course on Saturday, May 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library – Bar Harbour Building located at 40 Harbor Lane in Massapequa Park.

Reservations are required. To register, please visit www.nyboatingsafety.com and select Boat & PWC Class – May 17th Saturday – Massapequa or call 516-325-1251. The fee for this course is $75.00 and registrants must be a minimum of 10 years of age. Upon successful completion, participants will be issued a New York State Safe Boater Certificate.

“With the warmer weather just around the corner, many Long Islanders are looking forward to enjoying a day out on the water,” said Durso. “Now is the perfect time to sign up for a boating safety class. And with the passing of Brianna's Law, beginning January 1, 2025, all those who operate a power boat or jet ski are required to complete a safe boating course and earn a safe boating certificate.”

If you have any questions, please call NY Boating Safety instructor, Alan, at (516) 325-1251.
