Assemblyman Durso Welcomes U.S.M.A. Cadet Singh to The Capitol on West Point Day in Albany

Assemblyman Michael Durso (R-Massapequa Park) along with his colleagues in the New York State Legislature hosted cadets and leadership of the U.S. Military Academy during the 72nd annual West Point Day in Albany on April 9th.

“I was proud to honor CDT Navroop Singh of Massapequa and present him with a citation in recognition of his commitment and dedication to the ideals of Duty, Honor, and Country,” said Assemblyman Durso. I want to thank CDT Singh and his fellow cadets for putting service above all.”

CDT Singh was inspired to serve and attend West Point due to his family's history of serving our nation. His great-grandfather and great-uncle both served in World War II. Upon graduating from West Point, CDT Singh plans to branch Infantry and to be assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy. He eventually wants to pursue a path in Special Operations.
