February 21, 2024 – Celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Veterans Resource Center on Binghamton’s Northside. I’m proud to have secured a $500K Assembly grant to support this important project.

February 15, 2024 – Welcomed NY Wing Commander Bill Martin, Lt Colonel Michael Woolfolk, and cadets and members of the NY Civil Air Patrol to Albany for their annual advocacy day. I’m proud to lead their legislative squadron.

February 6, 2024 – It was FFA Day at the Capital. I got to meet with some of NY’s 12,000 student members who are our future veterinarians, scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and more.

February 2, 2024 – With the American Heart Association at Security Mutual Life in Binghamton to raise awareness for women’s heart health.

February 2, 2024 – Joined forces with Senator Webb, local nursing home leaders and families to highlight the funding crisis facing NY’s nursing homes. We are issuing a Nursing Home SOS because the financial losses are unsustainable, putting stress on the entire health care system.

December 20, 2023 – With partners and volunteers at the Broome Regional Farmer’s Market after another successful Holiday Giving Box initiative. Together, we packed and delivered 275 boxes to families to prepare their own holiday meals, complete with locally grown ingredients from our farmers.

December 11, 2023 – With Police Chief Garey unveiling the newly refurbished Endicott Police Law Enforcement Training Center. I was pleased to have provided a $350K Assembly grant to upgrade the Center with a new ballistics range and the latest virtual reality technology, allowing for more realistic training experiences.

No longer a symbol of our area’s decline, this building now stands as a symbol of progress; a symbol of what is possible when we work together to revitalize our community.

November 29, 2023 – With fellow officials and EMS leaders celebrating the signing of “Direct-Pay” legislation to support local ambulance services. This will bring much-needed financial relief to these committed providers.

November 28, 2023 – With Kenneth Roman and other library representatives announcing upcoming programming for the George F. Johnson Memorial Library’s Tech Center. I was glad to provide a $10K Assembly grant to help them purchase new laptops to support their efforts to address digital literacy.

November 22, 2023 – Announcing the winner of the annual Thanksgiving Food Challenge. Congratulations to Team University for taking home the Golden Yam Can award. Together we brought in 14,000 meals for the community.

November 20, 2023 – With County Executive Garnar, Boscov’s CEO and President Jim Boscov, and Mayor Kraham celebrating major news for Boscov’s. I was able to secure a $5M Assembly grant to support much needed upgrades to the historical building owned by the City of Binghamton, helping Boscov’s decide to renew its lease for the next decade.
