First responders – firefighters, police officers, EMS professionals and many others – give so much to our communities. Across Sullivan and Orange counties, these essential workers keep our neighborhoods safe and provide care and support during our greatest times of need. Many first responders regularly risk their lives to keep our communities running, and they are the foundation of our state.
That’s why I’m hosting an award ceremony to celebrate our local heroes in honor of First Responder Recognition Day. I encourage you to nominate a first responder you know who deserves recognition and resides in the 100th Assembly District. We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated bravery and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on their communities.
Nominations must be received by November 4th. Nominees must reside in the 100th Assembly District, which encompasses parts of Orange and Sullivan counties, including the City of Middletown, Bethel, Callicoon, Cocheton, Delaware, Fallsburg, Forestburgh, Highland, Liberty, Lumberland, Mamakating, Thompson, Tusten, and Wallkill. Two residents will be chosen, one to represent Sullivan County and one for Orange County.
You are also welcome to join us for the awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 12th at 6 P.M. at the Bloomingburg Fire Department (117 Godfrey Rd, Bloomingburg, NY 12721).
