“As our state continues to see record low infection and hospitalization rates, it’s time to remove the declared state of emergency. The governor’s expanded powers over our state are no longer necessary as more individuals receive the vaccine each day. It’s clear that our state is taking positive steps in moving forward and returning to a normal way of life.
“I’m calling on my colleagues across the aisle to join my efforts with the Assembly Minority Conference and Senate Minority Conference in supporting a resolution that would remove New York’s state of emergency. As our legislative session ends this week, it’s imperative we immediately address this measure.”
