Today, Assemblywoman Missy Miller (R,C,I-Atlantic Beach) attended the grand opening of the new Mark Ramer Chesed Center in Hewlett, NY. The center is a new, unique community resource. It will be stocked with brand new items to help qualified individuals and families with their personal needs, including clothing, shoes, school supplies, appliances and much more.
Miller presented a citation to the center in recognition of the grand opening. The center is named in honor of Mark Ramer, for all the hard work, time and dedication he put into giving back to the community. His efforts have benefited so many residents. Mark truly exemplified the best of our community and what we all strive to do for those in need.
“It was such an honor to attend the grand opening of the new Mark Ramer Chesed Center. This facility will provide and offer many resources to our residents in need,” said Miller. “This is a perfect time for the center to open as many in our community have faced hardships due to COVID-19.
“Naming the facility after Mark is a well-deserved tribute and continues his legacy of always helping others. His contributions to our community have truly made a positive difference. We should all strive to help those in need, just as he did.”
