Statement from Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush on Boonville Church Explosion

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C–Black River) today released the following statement regarding the explosion reported in Boonville:

“I am closely monitoring the situation following the explosion at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in the Village of Boonville. My office has been in contact with local law enforcement and emergency responders as they continue to assess the scene and ensure the safety of residents.

“Right now, the focus must remain on the brave men and women on the ground who are working to secure the area and protect the community. We are standing by and allowing first responders to do their jobs without interference as they work through this emergency.

“I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our volunteer fire departments and emergency personnel who responded immediately. In moments like this, we are reminded how fortunate we are to have dedicated volunteers who step forward without hesitation to protect their neighbors. Their courage and professionalism are a true testament to the strength of our North Country communities.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, and we are praying for the continued safety of our first responders and the entire Boonville community.”

My office will continue to stay in communication with local officials and provide updates as more information becomes available.
