Update on Assemblyman Dinowitz’s Henry Hudson Bridge Rebate Program
The Henry Hudson Bridge is toll-free for all Bronx residents with an E-ZPass account since 2024, under a program originated and championed by Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz
In 2019, Assemblyman Dinowitz secured a 100% toll rebate for Bronx Residents using the Henry Hudson Bridge. After a delay due to the pandemic, the program went into effect in February 2024. To be qualified for this toll rebate, Bronx residents have to register through E-Z Pass and have cars registered in Bronx County. When a participating car crosses the bridge, the toll is charged to their account and then immediately credited back. The toll, which used to be only ten cents, is currently $3.42 for New York E-Z Pass users and $8.87 for those without E-Z Pass.
Two years after the initial registration process, participants may need to renew their account information to extend their eligibility. If you have noticed that your plan expired, please contact the EZ-Pass Residency Department at (718) 313-9455. Any tolls participants were charged for during this time will be retroactively covered once the account is reactivated.
If you are experiencing issues with your account after speaking to the Residency Department yourself, constituents may contact Assemblyman Dinowitz’s Office for assistance at (718) 796-5345 or dinowitzj@nyassembly.gov.
