New York State Assembly's 2021 Summer Reading Challenge - Tails and Tales

To combat learning loss during the summer Assemblymember Didi Barrett is holding her annual Summer Reading Challenge. This year’s theme is “Tails and Tales” to encourage children in the Hudson Valley to learn more about their favorite animals and explore the world around them as they read.

To participate in the Summer Reading Challenge, children should read a book for a minimum of 15 minutes a day for at least 40 days during July and August. Children can read on their own or with a reading partner, such as family or friends, and mark days off on the Summer Reading Challenge calendar.
